Large 90cm x 90cm Silk Scarf

Help Hi All I have 2 silk scarfs to frame. I have read past posts on large Hermes scarfs, but I wondered if anyone had got any other techniques , ideas and recommendations? Would stainless steel fine pins into 5mm acid free foam board be enough to get tension and to hold the scarf in place? Struggli...

BIG JIGSAW

Hi All I have read the previously posted points of view on framing a large jigsaw, but I still need a wee bit of hand holding. This is a 5000 piece Disney 60 inch X 40 inch. :Slap: This is the plan - The jigsaw is already on a board on the customers dining table and I have to collect. I plan to take...

Re: Large needlecraft

Sorry to be a a pain

The glass size will be 830mm H X 670mm W.

How long in minutes / hours should it take to lace this size of needcraft?

Re: Large needlecraft

The customer wants a price to stick it down.

The needcraft is not that square

What adhesive board should I use and is it pH neutral

Is there a chemical you can get which when sprayed on it relaxes the artwork and makes it easy to stretch. or is it just water?

If I lace it what thread shall I use?

Large needlecraft

Hi All I have a 30 inch X 24 inch needlecraft to frame. The customer knows the many techniques to frame this style of work and preferes the lacing method. I would however, be more comfortable using an adhesive board. If I lace it what board would I use, as I am sure with the size the board may bow d...

Re: Wavey Canvass

This is it Triple mount, AR 70 glass. Half inch border on the canvas is beyond my skill set. If I was to get permission to glue down wit pva glue, do you water it down? how do you keep it flat - by applying a large flat weight? What would you suggest you glue it to?, mount board, art board,MDF etc? ...

Re: Wavey Canvass

Hi All

Unusual I know, but the customer wanted it that way under glass in a traditional mounted way. Also, there was only an half inch of canvas border around the main image, too small to affect a wrap/stretch around stretcher bars.

It is what it is and I have what I have got. Any ideas?

Wavey Canvass

Hi All Had a previously stretched canvas brought to me for framing. Laid the canvas between acid free tissue and mount board for a few weeks then framed it using the 'T' hinge method. Moved it from the workshop into the house ready for customer collection. Luckily customer has not yet collected it, ...

COLOUR BLIND

Hi All

Help for my ageing eyes.

Best mount board colours / manufacturer to emulate the Aston Villa colours please?

I have chosen Daler Pompadour 8041 for the blue and Daler Plum 8067 for the claret colour of their shirts.

Re: GLASS SIZE TYPE

Sorry I meant hanging the print, attaching it to the backing?

In reference to the glass, anything with UV protection at that size is crazy money. I would like to use acrylic but the cost from Wessex is high. Any alternative suppliers?
