Bump.
Just bringing this back up to the top to see if anyone else who might not have seen this last week is able to help? I need to get back to the customer this week with my 'cunning plan'

Re: Looking for a moulding
You're right it is an old fashioned look but then these are old fashioned people, Peter :-) I will probably try to get them to take a white or cream (sorry, I obviously meant linen coloured) painted scoop inner with a gold slip. :giggle: But if anyone does know of anything similar to the outer gold ...

Re: Looking for a moulding
Thanks Peter, Every reply helps in some way. I had hoped that some of our traditionalists might have known of a supplier or that a supplier would pop up and say "hey Rolf, we have something just like that", but I live in hope. I have had a couple of suggestions separately for a similar gol...

Looking for a moulding
We have been asked to find a match or similar for the following combination. It is a gold scoop moulding, a linen slip or liner with a gold sight edge or possibly a separate slip. I haven't seen the actual frame myself because it is hanging in a board room somewhere. I would estimate the gold frame ...

Re: foamboard spacers?
Hi Brian, We use both the foamcore method you describe and also used wood spacers. The wooden spacers tend to be used on the larger frames but it depends on how I feel at the time to be honest because both work. The PHOE range from Simons are quite good for this and have spacer slips that are two di...

Steady Grahame, that was supposed to be a secret.
Anyway glad you now know who's who, although come to think of it our French alter ego hasn't told us the name she goes by, which might be helpful in removing confusion.
Yep, very definitely Rolf today.

Hi Phil,
Thanks for letting us know, it looks good from what I've seen so far. But can you confirm whether existing account holders need to register or will they be sent login details?
Regards, Rolf

Sorry Jo, can't help if it's the one on page 58 of their catalogue. Have you checked any of the other suppliers to see if they have anything similar?

Cheers Robo, good idea. Actually the 158.48 on page 40 might be closer, the shape is certainly nearer. Waiting for the rep to get back to me, thanks.

Re: Looking for alternative moulding
Thank you Tudor Rose and Ricky. Both of the options are narrower at 38 mm but certainly worth looking at. I'll have to ask Ricky to send me a couple of samples :-) Robo thanks for your suggestions. They are not on that page in my A&T catalogue but that's probably because it's from the dark ages....

Looking for alternative moulding
We've been asked to match some frames that we have previously made for a customer unfortunately the moulding has been discontinued by both Arqadia and Simons. This link below shows the Arqadia version and Simons code was 2000/0058. http://www.arqadia.co.uk/productdetails.aspx?id=105&itemno=26610...

Re: Sole Trader - best business account ?
Yep, we have the FSB Coop account. Free banking and we pay in via the Post office, we do get some interest and also an annual bonus of £25 each year. We've never paid any charges at all but of course there is the annual FSB membership fee to take into account. Having said that we also got our chip a...

Re: recognise this moulding?
Have a look at Arqadia 176 002 348 it looks like it. They also used to do a narrower version but have discontinued it.
I was looking for it myself yesterday and haven't found anything similar elsewhere.
