Re: Which dehumidifier?
Yes, I've often wondered that as well Alan. Our shop has large windows that were misting up with condensation, which is what prompted us to buy ours. There is a large gap under the front door but the dehumidifier clears the windows very quickly. Normally though we have it in the central room, the wo...

Re: Which dehumidifier?
Glad to have been of help and of course this is why the forum was created so that we could help each other. The water still appears to be crystal clear in mine but I'm not sure I'd want to drink it Good luck with the framing.

Re: Which dehumidifier?
We bought this Meaco following a recommendation and have never looked back http://www.amazon.co.uk/Meaco-DD122FW-MK4-Dehumidifier/dp/B001FCMHU8. It is quiet, efficient and takes up very little room. It is big enough for our shop and workshop which is very damp because it has no dpc so it should easi...

Re: Help - trying to find a moulding.
Hi Anne,
It is difficult to tell without some idea of scale ie what width is it?
Have a look at the Simons catalogue on page 106, S/0941 might be similar, depending on the size.

We also used to mark the direction of cut with pencil arrows to ensure the bevel faced the right way and so you knew where you where if you got interrupted in the middle of cutting.

More moulding help please?
We've been asked to try and match or find a similar moulding to the one in the photo. It looks like a ready made frame to me and I have looked in a number of suppliers catalogues but not found anything like it. It is a stained barewood and I would call it a matt antique pine finish. The moulding is ...

Re: Presenting MDF Blocks
You could ask Merlin about the possibility of making boxes for you or get someone closes to you who has a CMC to do it. Merlin is in Delhi until next week but you could pm him in the meantime to see if he has any suggestions.

Looking for a moulding
We have a customer who has had framing completed in a moulding similar to Simons TORO/0006 (page 79 of current catalogue). I think A&T did something along the same lines (416.01). They are looking something narrower and not as deep so that it tones in with what they already have. It is only to f...

That's an interesting way of doing it for sports medals John and one I might pinch for myself. How are the medals themselves fixed?

That's very good John, especially for school children. I particularly like the reverse move at about 2:10.

If you haven't already found them then Estlite is certainly worth looking at for value for money and great customer service. You can also combine it with PreView visualisation software, both help make pricing simple and affordable. We have been using it for the last six years at least and are very h...

Re: Discontinued Lion Moulding L1586 Puccini
What a coincidence I was just looking for the very same moulding myself on the Lion website. I have managed to get myself two lengths from my local supplier who may have some more. If you can't find it with a supplier closer to you then give Graham or John a call at Abbey Glass & Framing Supplie...
