Re: Request for a Little Help

Hi Áine,

Glad to hear that you are OK and to see you posting once again on the forum. You have a bit of catching up to do and it would be good to hear from you again with a view from the Shires.

Myles now has a UK mobile No which is 07769 568 669. I hope that helps.

Regards,

Rolf

Re: Help with a moulding - Again!

Thanks Jo and Alec, I will ask but I think it is too wide and the rebate doesn't look deep enough. In colour, the moulding I am looking for is probably closer to the 00CA/0989 on page 66, which is the correct width but again the rebate is too small. My photo makes it look wider than it actually is a...

Re: Help with a moulding - Again!

Thanks Mark and Peter, The moulding probably is Ramin, it is definitely not polymer. A few people have now mentioned A&T and if I don't hear back from the rep on Monday I'll try giving Phil a call. Matching is probably not very likely, but something similar in width and depth of rebate would be ...

Re: Creating Youtube videos

You are spoilt for choice as regards cameras and they are all extremely good value now. I have seen some very impressive video's shot just with a smart phone. I have also watched a webinar on how to film with the smart phone and the sound was quite good just using the phone mic. I was interested to ...

Re: Help with a moulding - Again!

Hi J2M,

Yes I had thought about them but we don't have an up to date catalogue. So I have emailed the rep in Belfast and hopefully he will respond soon.

Help with a moulding - Again!

We have been asked to try and match a moulding for a customer, the local Masonic Hall. They have a series of frames showing their members over the years so it is a traditional moulding. The photo gives you an idea of what it looks like and surrounds a photo from 1982. A match would be great but othe...

Re: Tape ..... estry

Finally I can post the result of before and after. The job became "fraught" because when I cut the moulding I ended up with without enough to finish one short side. Luckily Steve N came to our rescue, for which we are very grateful and we were able to finish the frame. The customer has now...

Help with OOS moulding

We have a large frame to finish for one of our loyal customers that we have ended up missing one short side due to damage and faults on the moulding. Not normally a problem because we would just get some more but unfortunately it is out of stock until the end of October apparently. Does anyone out t...

I've asked to post some of the photos here on the forum for those who are not fans of Facebook, so here are the suppliers who supported us this year. If you know who is in the photo please let the rest of us know too please :-) Wessex 1.jpg Val 1.jpg Simons.jpg Neilsen.jpg Lifesaver.jpg Hot Press.jp...

Re: FRAMERS FORUM LIVE EVENT - Well done !

Like you G, I was sorry that I had to miss this year's event but you of course had your own event with the birth of Maisie to attend. I'm sure you think that was just slightly more important, despite any sleepless nights since. I too would love to see some photos of the event, so if anyone who did a...

Re: Framer's wish list

Agreed with that. We had a delivery that was very poorly packaged and therefore arrived damaged beyond repair. Agreed with them the replacements needed to be double wrapped and guess what? The replacements also arrived damaged and were not as well wrapped as the first lot. Needless to say I cancelle...

Re: Framer's wish list

I would go along with Ricky on the rebates. A double mount, undermount, backing board and glass is a minimum of 10mm, so 12mm for me please. Items out of stock, probably depends on some countries not taking the summer months off, although knowing this the suppliers should be able to forecast require...
