Ok Mark, this will go on the todo list. It may end up as a bit of a compromise though as there will be occasions when all of the docket's real estate is needed by the jobs. In which case, perhaps, the user-defined lines would be forfeited. What do you think? Would it be more useful to have ready acc...

Hi Campbell, Sorry to hear about your difficulties. I havn't come across this before, so I'm afraid I'll have to take a shot or two in the dark. What screen resolution are you using? I mostly use 1024 x 768 Have you tried changing your screen resolution? Is your system display properties set to &quo...

Hi Mark

Print to File is not a function of EstLite, it is usually enabled along with a printer driver.

I think that installing a generic printer, like the HP LaserJet, should take care of it.

I'm sure that a search on the WWW would yield better information on the subject.

Take care,

putting estlite on another computer

No problem Sheila, just transfer the file estsetup.exe on a floppy and run it on your new computer, then use the key you are provided with at the time of purchase to register the program.

Hi Mark, Some good ideas here. I think you should be able to print to fax as the program stands. I don't have any fax software so I can't test this myself. But Is it not possible to select fax output from the Print Setup dialog box? I am making the assumption that fax software will install a virtual...

Hi Mark, Perhaps I should have explained this Drag-And-Drop thing a bit better. Before attempting to add/merge you must prepare two lists, stored in two separate text files, MOULDN.DAT which contains the moulding names/numbers, and MOULDV.DAT which contains the price of each moulding, listed in the ...

Hi Mark, This latest release, 5.24, should make it a lot easier to update the moulding table. The program should now take care of all the formatting stuff (decimal point, spaces, upper case). It's just a matter of making the two files (name and price) by cutting and pasting from the supplier's price...

The program assumes that the glass price includes the backing board - on the assumption that it would be a very rare job that required glass without a back. If you use different types of backing with a significant variation in costs (remember, the program rounds prices to the nearest 10p), enter a n...

Hi Mark, Thanks for the input. The floating checkbox is now fixed. Download again and all will be well. Can we provide a link to your website where other EstLite users can download the A+T price list? If you prefer, you can send me the list and we can make it available on the Resources page. I have ...

Hi Stuart,

You didn't say which version of the program you were running or whether or not it was registered. However, if you saved the original file, estsetup.exe, before reformatting, you can use it to reinstall the rogram. Otherwise you will have to download again.

Hi Barbara,

I suspect that the broad moulding markup has been set to a value lower than 3.1, ensure that your markup for a broad moulding is also equal to 3.1 and you will find that the result will be as you calculate.

Hi DWD,

The program will automatically work in $, or whatever Windows used as the default currency. Change this in Windows control panel under Regional Settings.

Tax, like all parameters in EstLite, can be easily changed by the user.

Hi Jack, I have thought long and hard about stock control and feel that the place for it is in the workshop rather than in a point of sale program such as EstLite. Certainly, EstLite can make an estimate of quantities of materials required for each job, but in the real world these estimates would be...

Hi Hugh, Without the error message, it is hard to know what is going on here. However, I suspect that what you are getting are warnings that some detail is missing and needs to be entered before the docket can be printed. For example, say a job has been priced which requires a mount. Before this job...

Hi Hugh The program you downloaded from our website is the full version. The only restriction is that you are unable to modify the business name. Every time you print a docket the details are automatically saved to disk, and can be later recalled. Casual quotes (ones that do not lead to an actual fr...
