Re: Rolled up photographic print
Hi Mark, I simply wouldn't mess with it - God knows what media it is on etc... Here's an idea though... Frame it like the "artist" exhibits it... Deep box frame - AR / UV glass - to protect & keep clarity - spacers for the sides to hold the glass of course - then add a couple of D ring...

I don't think my opinion would be appropriate on this occasion

Thanks David,
That's the chap & a fantastic job he did too - not only bringing it to the attention of framers - but working with the OS to get details put in with the maps - he deserves some kind of award in my opinion
TOP BLOKE!!!

Re: Sticking down an Ordnance Survey map 100x89cm
Hi Adam, I am sorry for the late jump in on this one. First & very importantly - OS - as stated somewhere above - have recently changed their printing processes & their maps are no longer suitable for heat pressing. This was discovered by a framer (sorry if you are a forum member - but I can...

Have you spoken to Garry White @ Wessex London- he is a bit of a guru on these saws.
It might help if you do business with Wessex - Garry is not a "charity" - but a very knowledgible bloke on these all the same...

Re: HOTPRESS HELL !!
I had a similar mishap a couple of days back. Being a bit mean I have been saving up some offcuts of dry mount tissue to use on smaller jobs. So I had a 14 x 11 photo to stick down and there was a piece of tissue just the right size with a few little wrinkles but I thought no problem they will flat...

Re: HOTPRESS HELL !!
For the first time ever, I decided to flatten out a couple off rolled up prints in the Hotpress, face down ..... BIG MISTAKE ! I laid them out on a scrap bit of White Display Board and heated / pressed them for 5 minutes. When I opened the lid my heart sank, the prints had stuck to the board :( You...
