Re: Am I retail orc manufacturing!?
If customers visit to place and collect orders and you have a customer area for consultation then there must be a retail element to your business. Whilst that may not persuade the council to offer financial assistance it does mean you should be able to operate a click and collect during the current ...

Framer in Wanstead area
I received a phone very recently asking if I could frame some police memorabilia, the customer is in the Wanstead area of London. Whilst I would be quite happy to do this I did suggest that a framer closer to home could probably help. Is there a framer in or near Wanstead happy to put themselves for...

Re: Framing baby shoes
I would still look to use a thread somehow. Without seeing the shoes, is the sole glued or sewn on? If sewn on you should be able to get some thread through the same hole or at least around an existing thread. There may be some more areas of the shoe leather sewn together that a thread could be atta...

We have used pricing software virtually from day 1, in addition to producing consistent prices they should also be capable of some form of stock control, listing materials required for all orders taken in a specific period, produce cutting lists, allow additional notes and have the ability to send e...

Re: Canvas to self adhesive board
Such pieces obtained whilst on holiday in Africa and brought in for framing are little more than acrylic paint on a bed sheet. With the agreement of the customer and having explained all the pros and cons most agree to having them stuck down to a board and then framed. Most frequently I cut a piece ...

Re: Deep bevel mount moulding profile thoughts.
Mark,
What sort of height/depth of bevel are you considering? Whilst you do provide a full description, a photograph would really help.

On the workbench I use off cuts of glass with mountboard stuck top and bottom. On the counter I have small white socks filled with rice.
Re: CMC
Notwithstanding the Gunnar love in I have been using Wizard CMCs for about 10 years and can heartily recommend them. All support, training and advice is based in UK.
Not sure what you mean by budget but expect to pay at least £6000 for a second or third hand machine.

Not sure if this is a compliment or a slight. The brevity of my answer belies the care and detail we would take over framing such an item. Not your average framer wrote: ↑Sun 26 Apr, 2020 8:18 pm This also ticks at lot of the right boxes, if you like quick, simple and easy.

I would consider using any combination of formed rods/polyester straps/zip ties.

Thanks for taking the time to look and provide feedback. I did spend a long time looking through all the catalogues and did tell my customer it might be a forlorn hope to get an exact match.

Moulding identification
Does anybody recognise this moulding? It is about 24mm across the face and 18mm up the back. The closest I have found is Centrado 2321GE but they are out of stock and don’t think it will be replaced. Many thanks. [/attachment] CD1DE68E-CCD1-4C8E-B842-BC3AB2BAEFDC.jpeg 56ABC017-1837-4D60-9F07-4C9506F...
