Re: How to price "Chop Service" mouldings in Estlite

I keep a back...

Re: Cutting freehand curves
Before I had a CMC, I used one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cushway-Mount-Cutter-Charisma-/180697326019 in fact I still got it. When I used to do these I would use tracing paper, trace the outline of the image, then make another line about 5mm ( or whatever the amount you want the mount to be ...

If the customer would like stretched, ask them to send it back to the printers to reprint it, the printers should if they are any good leave enough spare canvas on.

Re: Card terminal and one phone line
Yes you can take the details, end the call and process the transaction, but if there is a problem :x , you can sort it out with the customer while they are on the phone, plus I think it's quite nice to say when the the transaction is complete "That's gone through fine, is there anything I can h...

Re: Framing a jigsaw - with a catch
You could always stick tiny bits of Velcro to the back of each piece of the puzzle, and then stick to some material on the backing board of the frame, then it can be taken out, broken up and then reassembled

Re: Card terminal and one phone line
The problem you get if you have one phone line and it's not broadband, or if you have broadband but the terminal is analog, is you will not be able to take 'customer not present' if the customer is still on the phone. Some card companies do not like connecting the terminal to lines for intruder alar...

Re: Promotional CD rom, or DVD.
I wouldn't go down the CD/DVD route myself, I would be doing videos and slide-show, either based on my website and /or on YouTube. I would think most customers would not even bother switching on their CD/DVD player to play it, we have to cater for the 'On-demand' way of life, which includes making y...

Re: Leaflet Drops
When we opened in November 2008, we did a leaflet drop around the area, included a 10% discount on custom framing, but only until Christmas and they had to bring the leaflet in with them. Not big response then, but we do get people in now who say they still have the leaflet pinned on the notice boar...

Re: End of cheque guarantee cards - Do I need a card termina
I got a terminal in March this year, I used Federation of Small Businesses to get mine with Streamline, no set-up cost, Free terminal rental for three months , no minimal charges and the rates are quite good. The result is more customers are paying up-front when they leave their work, also I have fo...

Re: Verification Pricing Needed...!
Why is the current framer stepping down? retirement, the job is a PITA, he has too much work to fit this job in or he's not making any money. Use his prices as a guide, if they are way below what you have worked out, ask yourself is it worth it.
