Re: Interesting clues from what Ikea are discontinuing.

Unfortunately, people who buy these IKEA frames , buy by price :head: , they also like Black or White, so unless you can match the very low price, I wouldn't bother.
Saying that, nearly all my mounts I sell online are for these very frames, so I make a living that way

Re: benches made to size

I would make them to the standard 18mm MDF board sizes, that way the customer does not have to trim the board down by 10mm, and the board will drop into place

Re: What's the going rate for framing a football shirt?

Re: Out of town

If it only 5 minutes away, then your existing customers will follow, I move about 10 miles and it a good 1/2 hour drive and harder to park, and I still get existing customers bloody finding me :giggle: Admittedly not a lot, but I prefer it that way, as I have gone part time / semi-retired, I'm sure ...

Re: Reusing existing frames

I'm in the same mind as Gesso&Bole , I give them a price to take the frame apart and clean glass and attach print to mount and the cost of the mount, I telll them my minimum charge for taking a frame apart is £10.00, and I charge £60.00 per hour, so a 1/2 hour job is £30.00 plus the cost of the ...

Oops sorry Jay, I hadn't even looked lately
Depending on how much you use and if you cut them yourself, rather than 'Chop', there is a company in Ireland (or there was, not used them for over 13 years) called MI Metals
