Hi John I actually put that in initially and then edited it out thinking that people would get themselves there (knowing what a bright bunch the forum lot are!!) and if they didn't it would give them food for thought. It was obviously at the expense of a good joke. Well perhaps good is pushing it re...

I have subscribed to it and am now on my third edition. Lots of ideas and tips in it, I find it really useful and great value, like you say nothing to loose at that price. You do need to be patient though as there is a time delay in paying and receiving your first copy, and you hear nothing after yo...

Don't know if they are the best place to go but at the spring fair Selwyn had a good stand with all sorts of display options. They looked really well made, not sure about cost as we didn't get into the detail.

I am that very enthusiastic framer that Sarah was talking about, and it was such a relief to have passed the test although there was a moment of tension. ':?' Does this mean that I can now legitimately order sime JGF items ( I am itching to get a tote bag) and wear them with pride? Thanks Sarah for ...

Thanks everyone for your valuble advice. I thought I was asking a silly question assuming that such things shouldn't really be needed at all, and that it was my poor work that was to blame. Having high standards has resulted in me re making many a frame over the last year when I think actually I cou...

wax/cream filler?
Can anyone recomend the best filler ( wax/cream, which brand?) to cover up those minor gaps? I am not sure which brand is considered the best although I do appreciate that the key is not to need them in the first place.
Can anyone help

Thanks everyone for all the advice. I clearly need to think about changing my mountboard ( colourmount ) as they just don't have the range of colour options in CG. Part of my problem is that I don't have the quantity of framing as you guys and my supplier will deliver weekly at low cost and supply s...

black mount and conservation
I have a customer that wants a black second mount on her cross stitch. All other materials are of conservation standard, is it acceptable practice to line the mount (and would it make a difference, if so with what?) to prevent it having direct contact with the material. I know that the ideal answre ...

thanks, you have been most hlepful and I am actually very pleased with the result. Lets hope the customer agrees. I went for an adaption to a cd holder ( just the inner clear bit so none of it is visable) and therefore a floating effect with double mounts etc.. thanks once again for your help. Miche...

Thanks every one for taking the time, you have given me a lot of food for thought and plenty to share with my customer. Thanks Markw I have re-set the blades twice with no obviouse signs of dirt etc. The blades are brand new and cutting really smoothly and cleanly.
