Looks neat and unobtrusive.
One tip that was posted on here a while ago is to put some fabric behind the record (glued to the mountboard), or a circle of suedette/fabric board. The friction this creates, stops the record from turning!

Re: New supplier
I use both Lion and Arqadia so I get all my deliveries of mouldings and boards etc. via Tufnell's. It must be down to the local depot and delivery network but I very rarely have any problems with transport damage and really cannot praise them enough, it's excellent service as far as I'm concerned. ...

Re: Morso blade problem
We recently had blades sharpened by LION for the first time. Yes it's expensive, but the results have been superb so far. I compared them to another set of blades we have had sharpened elsewhere and LION seem to make the hollow "hollower"! This means the edge of the blade is more pointed. ...

I'd also ban the use of self- adhesive tape on the back of frames! When the glass breaks, little shards of glass stick to this tape which makes it tricky to remove from the back of the frame without cutting yourself.

Re: Keencur ultimat gold wall mount kit
Hi,
We have one we bought a few years ago but then never used (and won't be using in the future!). Not sure what we paid for it (I'll check out my accounts tonight), but happy to sell it.

Re: Gummed paper lifting from backing board
We had this problem many years ago so started routinely wetting each bit of tape TWICE - with a foam brush - second wet straight after the first.Since then we've never had a problem. I agree that some tapes are worse than others in this respect - but the twice wetting technique seems to work with al...

Re: Flecks in Mount Board
Just cut 12 various mounts (mainly off-whites) from Bainbridge Artcare board - no problem. Then went to cut 6 mounts from 3 sheets of Arquadia board (which we still sometimes use for budget jobs) - 2 of the mounts had large grey specks in them so had to be binned. This is fairly typical. For me the ...

Re: Chinese pictures to frame
Not sure why your hinges would show through, if your undermount is the same colour as your hinging tape. They will obviously show up against MDF ( like in your picture), but you wouldn't be hinging them onto that!

Re: Flecks in Mount Board
I moved away from colourmount some years ago as I got fed up with these flecks. In my experience you very very rarely get them in Bainbridge board - but of course it is more expensive. Swings and roundabouts spend more on materials or more on labour!

Re: Sports Shirts etc
An alternative to tape it to use tags again on the back to pull the slack tight or rust proof pins. I think I'd bit a bit wary of using tapestry tape on anything of value.pramsay13 wrote:Tapestry tape.

Re: Arqadia's Woeful stock control
I have only ever used the aluminium frames on chop and never had a problem. What have arqadia said about the problem? I have always found our rep very helpful if we have had issues with quality, they like it to be reported back so as they can sort it out. I've complained to the sales staff on numer...

Re: Arqadia's Woeful stock control
Can I ask whether you get chop kits from them - this is a real problem for us. I just can't understand how or why Arquadia send them out when they don't fit together.IFGL wrote:I very rarely have any issues with Arqadia, we order weekly off them and find the service very good.

Re: Arqadia's Woeful stock control
We have this problem with Arquadia as well. We also find that Arquadias chop frames often don't fit together very well and due to poor packaging are often chipped at the ends. I've mentioned it to our Arquadia rep a few times, but it's not getting any better. We are starting to move away from Arquad...
