We could do with a general hand one long or two short days a week (up to 10 to 12 hours approx) to join and fit in with our two full time and 3 pa...

Re: Best type of material for mounting and cutting bench
carpet here, also a cutting mat set into one carpeted bench for hacking and slashing at things. if you can manage to keep the the room you want, keeping separate an area for glass-cutting only, that sounds ideal. glass crumbs will get all over the place and into the carpet and cause all sorts of mis...

Re: WHY DID I SELL MY LION "GLASS SAFE" ???
I'm not arguing, merely seeking to understand, how is float glass different to bottle glass? I heard that bottle glass is the majority of glass collected for recycling, other types melt at different temperatures. (man at Biffa said that, sounded plausible) I can't guess how they go about sorting it...

metal dustbin.
I understand our glass gets crushed up and used in road-fill. but who can tell. I just comply with the law.
it has to go in a separate bin for collection anyway.
one for card and plastic. one for general waste and one for glass.

The woman obviously knew less than zero about road racing or Joey Dunlop, despite having the northwest 200 on her doorstep.

Re: automating accounts
Interesting post Markw, thanks for the info. I'd never thought about further automating things from the dropbox sharing. (we also have a "man" (woman) that does all that, but any automation on our end brings down the book keeping costs, worth looking into) but fair usage of just 75 items a...

Re: Clear or neutral
I never understood why they recommended wire wool for the liberon liming wax either. Tried it once, messy way to do it as well. mostly we use lime wax on ash or oak though. maybe the wire is to roughen the surface of some other woods we don't use to take the finish better? yea, it really seemed like...

.....Us superior beings that have the munificence to deign to pass on knowledge to you, the great unwashed.
you are of course using the term "unwashed" as a pun, alluding to colour washes, aren't you.
as in "not colour wash users".
please take this lifeline.

best and most effective advertising you can get, promo on the back of your car. business name, what town you are in, phone number or website. something memorable -logo or catchphrase maybe. saw a brilliant slogan on a tesco home delivery van the other day "Freshly Clicked". I liked that, m...
