Mount Cutting & Maintenance Course

Saturday 21st May 2016, at Framers Equipment, Northampton.
9.30am – 4.30pm Refreshments and buffet lunch included.
Demonstrators Jan Stanlick: GCFE and Peter Stanlick: Director qualified framing engineer and distributor of framing equipment.

Book on line http://www.framersequipment.co.uk or phone sales 01604 790333 the course content PDF will be on line ASAP but if you have any questions you can ring me Jan Stanlick
Mobile 07854 728840

The course is ideal for the new starter or the experienced framer wishing to increase their knowledge, helping towards the GCF (Guild Commended Framer) exam or Guild certified Framer CPD (Continuing Professional Development).

This course is all about learning the correct methods and techniques to cut a variety of different styles of mounts, while understanding the theory of when to use them and why.

You will get the chance to see some of the most popular mount cutters in action and try for yourself.

KEENCUT, FLETCHER, SMART.

Demonstrations will also take place covering the KEENCUT ULTIMAT FUTURA (cutting thicker boards) and wall mounted or free standing SMART Mount cutters automatic and manual machines.

Save money and breakdowns by learning how to calibrate and maintain your machine.

New and reconditioned current mount cutters will be available for sale on the day.

A selection of older professional machines sold as seen which you can test, will also be available, they may not yet be listed on the FEL website so viewing on the day is the best option. These machines are still far better than cutting with a hand held cutter and bar and will achieve good results at affordable entry level prices ideal for the new starter, Photographer, Print Collector, Artist or Hobbyist.
Kind regards

Attending the Mount Cutting & Maintenance course.

Allows the professional framers or new starters to try different mount cutters and find a machine to suit them while learning to mark out and cut different designs of mounts and maintain the machine.

The Course also allows The Guild Certified Framer, GCF(APF) Accredited Professional Framer to apply to the guild for credits towards their CPD (Continuing Professional Development)

I would highly recommend any Framer who has been framing 12 months or more to apply for guild membership and work towards becoming a Guild Certified Framer.
