We're delighted to announce that the 2020 second round of the Larson-Juhl scholarship is now open for applications. 👍

Larson-Juhl and the Fine Art Trade Guild are offer four scholarships annually. These scholarships give candidates the opportunity to take their Guild Certified Framer exam and achieve their initial Continuing Professional Development points.

Now open for applications.
Closes on the 31 October 2020 (17:00 hrs)
The winners will be notified no later than 3rd December 2020

Larson-Juhl Scholars 🎓 benefit from a generous package which includes:
✔️GCF Study Guide
✔️GCF exam fee, for one attempt at a recognised GCF Test Centre
✔️One place at selected Guild workshops and Seminars for one year earning up to 10 CPD points
✔️One place at Guild Study Days, gaining 5 CPD points per class

The Guild Certified Framer GCF(APF) accreditation offers Guild member framers an internationally recognised certification for framing professionals. A rigorous examination with an approved examiner, backed up by an accessible Continuing Professional Development programme provides framers with the confidence that they are up to date with industry best practice.

Who can apply?
The scholarship 🎓 is designed to help framers at the start of their careers, and those that have no formal training. It is recommended that all GCF candidates have at least 12 months' framing experience to build up the necessary knowledge and skills.
Applicants must be, or are aspiring to be, professional picture framers and can either run their own business or be in employment as a framer.

I can highly recommend applying for this, to anyone who is considering it.
The obvious benefits are listed above.
The scholarship application itself is a really useful tool, it helped me clarify my goals and put a plan into action, which I am still building on.
I wasn't convinced that becoming Certified would increase my sales greatly, here in the wilds of West Wales, but I have been pleasantly surprised how many new customers have chosen me over other local framers, mentioning the Fine Art Trade Guild/Certified Framer as the reason.

Hi Justin! It's great to hear that you're getting a measurable benefit from both your membership of the Guild family, and also from your Certified Framer qualification. We agree that many potential and even existing customers like that reassurance.
