Republic of Ireland Branch Event - 15th May

Post by Louise Hay »

The Republic of Ireland Branch Event will be taking place at the Hannons Hotel, Athlone Road, Roscommon (about 15 min drive from Athlone) on 15th May at 2pm

Republic of Ireland member invites were sent by email last week - to reserve your place (or if you'd like us to send again) please email sam@fineart.co.uk or call +44 20 7381 6616.

If you're not a member but would like to join us to hear Joanne Mullins GCF talk on Mount Designs contact Sam for your personal invitation. There will be time for questions after the talk and the branch will hold a general chat about art and framing matters.

Refreshments will be provided and the event is free for Guild members and €5 for non-members, but please let us know in advance of attendance so we can plan for catering.

THANK YOU

Joanne Mullins GCF gave us a brilliant demonstration using equipment, materials and techniques from papercrafting to decorate mounts - she has devised a method for embossing lettering on mounts by hand that gives a really professional finish and offers an additional service to customers at little cost. The good news is that Aidan very kindly videoed her demonstration and has posted it on YouTube for everyone to enjoy - just search YouTube for Fine Art Trade Guild.

The next meeting of the Ireland Branch is planned for autumn in Dublin - we'll post more info once we have the full details.
