Framers Corner - Mark of respect office closure

Post by Sam Cook »

It is with deep regret that we must inform you of the sudden passing of our MD Alistair Cook on Sunday 11th September.
Alistair had just achieved his ambition of climbing to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, but sadly passed away unexpectedly on his way down the mountain.

As a mark of respect we shall be closing the office for the day of the funeral, unfortunately due to the difficult logistics involved we have not been able to confirm a date yet, but we shall inform you as soon as we have further information.

Alistair founded the business in 1977 and was an energetic driving force, building it into the successful family business it is today. We will continue to build the business and look forward to welcoming the next generation into the business in the future.

Hi Sam,

Very sorry to hear about this and thanks for letting everyone know. It is great that Alistair achieved his ambition of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and very sad that he didn't make it back. Our best wishes to you, Richard & Alex and of course the new generation.

I'm sorry to hear this too. I did not know him, but I offer my deepest sympathy. I'm sure he will be greatly missed.

It is always sad to hear news like this. The passing of a true icon of the industry is a huge loss, but the legacy he leaves behind is something to be very proud of.

I'm just back at work after a few days away, this is indeed very sad news and a great loss to the industry.

Mary and myself would like to express our condolences, and mirror what other members have said.
