Mock Veneer

This was a quick job that had to look good. Think I got away with it - the customer was pleased anyway. :D

I had the idea to do a figured wood-type finish on an ogee shape with gold slip. Very popular in Victorian parlours. I just happened to have some massive 3 3/4" wide stuff that I originally got by mistake. If I had had a bit more time I would have tried to get a slightly deeper shine. Also added some transverse join lines and re-established the mitre lines. Slightly phoney as is as you wouldn't cover a frame that size with one continuous sheet of veneer. But that's me being picky.
