Football shirt mounting

Post by Otters Pool Studio »

Just took the back off of a double football shirt frame to reframe it, and found this!

Looking at this on my phone and thought that's a lot of tape not realising it had been cut. Had a bunny boiling ex got to it before it was framed or perhaps the framer was a bunny boiler takING her anger out on the poor unsuspecting client.

What ever the reason they need their licence to frame taken off them :giggle:

looks like more tape was used on the shirts than on the back of the frame, must have been easy to take apart

Yes, this is a signed Pele shirt and there's a signed Gordon Banks shirt next to it, but they haven't been cut. The aperture in the mount has only been cut on three sides, then the shirt has been wrapped around the 'flap' that this creates, but then plastered with sticky tape.

It was in a plastic frame with 1mm styrene and a bit of cardboard in the back.

Nice little job to put right - will pay for my Christmas spirit!

Well it could well be a ready made frame, and somebody (non-framer) has done a DIY job on the shirts :Slap: , might have nothing to do with a framer

It won't be much fun trying to remove any adhesive residue after removing the tape!

Sounds like a "don't want to spend a lot on it" job. A the framer did just that. :?
