Landscape agate

Customer didn't want adhesive used (nor did I) or to see any mounting method like formed rods or fine mesh fabric - so I went for an 'engineering fit' a small flat black frame reverse-mitred, cut to a couple of mm larger and then lined with mountboard so the thing squeezes in very tightly. Then a reverse-bevelled mount with aperture cut ever so slightly smaller.

I'd rather not sink things back like this but that was pretty much the only option.

A very nicely executed job and the colouring of the frame works very well with the agate!

May I ask which moulding was used?

Great choices especially the moulding.

It's Simons Oak 9 - Nielsen's W200111 is the same thing. Neutral waxed.
