This is a new one on me. A T-shirt frame. Anyone seen this before? I can't decide whether I like it or not, but I definitely don't like the fact that the shirt is touching the glass

I found it here

I think that was done by a framer with far too much time on their hands and probably not a lot of actual paying customers.

A frame should be their to lead your eye to the art/object but not dominate it, it should also be there to protect. It hasn't achieved either of these fundamental points in my opinion.

Yes I have seen them, they are mass produced and about £25 if I remember rightly, they might even be cheaper, carp in my opinion.

Hmmmm. One thing that strikes me is that it no longer looks like a shirt.
If it were not for the neck it could be a road sign.

I'd bet the glazing is not glass. :P

I can never figure out why folks want to frame shirts. It's a shirt. I've got lots of them. I wear them.
Some are nice and clean and some are covered with paint that won't wash out. But whatever state
they are in I have never thought of putting them on a wall.

I personally wouldn't frame a shirt for me, but I do see the point, to preserve and display an item that is precious to the owner, to some people their signed shirt is more valuable than any artwork and that is what is important, not what you perceive as valuable or beautiful, but what your customer does.

I can confidently say that this has been done by someone with acute insomnia, lying in bed at about 4 am with a skinful, Jumping up and deciding it was a good idea. I would have loved to have seen his face when he looked at it in the cold light of day. sober.....mmmmm I think that maybe he should get a refund on his design school fees as well!
