I was asked to frame this which had a print on each side of the paper. They wanted it to be able to switch the painting easily.
I used rose and hollis a820. First, i cut the mounts and glass, then measured the thickness of the sandwich. I then ran the moulding through my thicknesser until i had the right rebate depth to fit the sandwich when gluing the 2 frames together.
Made and painted frames, glued with glass etc in and clamped then tidied the join to hide it.
The issue was that to make it properly meant no fittings to hang, so made a base that it just slots into. The groove is 12 degrees and i fitted so felt to protect the frame. So you just lift it out, turn and push back in. The base makes it very stable.

Re: Double sided frame
Yes a very nice job and an innovative solution. Also not one of the easiest things to do, when it comes to running something relatively thin through a planner thicknesser and getting a perfect result when you have to match up and join all the bits. An excellent and very professional outcome.
