Cassese Tip

Post by John »

Our ancient and, up to now, reliable Cassese 276 underpinner recently developed a problem whereby there was an ever increasing delay between firing the button and the wedge being fired. The delay was accompanied by the hiss of escaping air, and sometimes it took several attempts before it would actually fire.

To cut a long story short, it turned out that one of the little pneumatic logic units in the base of the machine had worked a bit loose. About half a turn on each of the two securing screws was enough to cure the problem.

I'm sure this tip could be applied to other makes and models.

Might be something to bear in mind, and perhaps prevent an unnecessary visit from a service engineer.
