It has got impact! Is the script 'Walking Dead' cut out by CMC on a black background? Hard for one, who worked in the age of the manual mount cutters, to evaluate the ease of new windows.

Were I practicing now, and given a inclination towards the macabre, no criticism intended, I might use black silk fabric brrrrrrrrrrr :Slap: under those cutaways.

I did toy with the idea of flicking red paint on the mount, but decided not to, in the end I didn't even cut the mount, Jamie did, our no1 framer.

Always use uv filter glass on signatures - they fade so quickly. Nice mount!

I think the customer went for Tru Vue CC.

We got another one to do, going to try to print directly onto the mount board , if it works I'll post it.

The printing onto the mount board went amazingly well, considering it's on textured mount board, I' m told the cutting went well too but have yet to see a pic, customer happy and bringing in a 3rd piece.

I will post a pic when I get one.

I forgot to post this, I set up the printer to take the 1.4 mm board calibrated the board and printed this on also got the printer to print a thin black line around where the external of the mount was to be cut to, pity his feet are missing, then bobbed it on the cmc and cut out the rest, all worked well on the first attempt.

Love that Flash Gordon one, only thing I don't like is the small information square on things like this... I find they distract from the image. Just me I guess.

Sometimes I get a cut when I'm cleaning the glass and before I realise it I have dripped blood onto a nice, fresh mount.
Now I know what to do with it

Apparently, the best way to remove a blood stain like that is to use your own spit! Never tried it though, don't think anyone would be happy with a nice blood & spit coloured mount :sweating:

If there is blood on any clothing or linen my wife always treats it with salty water first, ie. before washing.
It's something to do with enzymes setting if I remember correctly.

yes I must admit it felt a bit weird putting fingerprints on a mount on purpose :)

seams I had a complaint about this picture, it disappeared from our Facebook feed for a couple of days, we paid to boost it and tagged the walking dead, the post has now reappeared and the paid boost has continued from where it left off.

Slightly off piste but what sort of printer do you have that allows to print on mount board? I have a canon pro 10 A3. Might need to check manual and see if it capable on straight feed! Could be very handy.
Cheers matt
