Change Print Head, IPF6300

Post by Trinity »

I've a print head to change and missed the opportunity of getting in touch with the supplier yesterday to run me through it.
For those who may have changed the head on this Canon printer, is it as straightforward as the manual, the vendor suggested there was more to it but I didn't get the chance to follow up.
It does seem straightforward from the manual.

Thanks

I have an IPF8400 and have replaced the printhead twice without a problem. It must have been straight forward otherwise I would be able to give some advice/tips but I cannot remember the process at all! If you need to build confidence I would try Google and I would be surprised if there is not a video showing the process.

Changed ok but took a lot of ink, had to send off for a red before I can run some tests.

Yeah... a lot of ink.

Drains the lines and head, then when new head fitted refills.... you need a stiff drink when you change the 2 of them at the same time!!!
