Dropbox announcement:
On August 29, 2016, the Dropbox desktop app will no longer support Windows XP. On this date, you will be automatically signed out of any Dropbox accounts linked to a Windows XP computer. You can sign in again once you update to Windows Vista or a later version of Windows.
If you are signed out of your Dropbox account, please know that no changes will be made to your account. Your files and photos will be safe. You'll still be able to access your account—or create a new account—on dropbox.com or on other compatible computers and mobile devices.
The announcement is a bit misleading as they are not just dropping support in the usual sense, where you can continue to use at your own risk, rather they are completely shutting down the desktop app on XP machines, and I suspect, deleting all files in the local Dropbox folder.
