error code 403.9

Post by mikeysaling »

This is a message i posted in another board (not framing i may say) - can anyone here help? It happens when navigating backward ie returning to a previous (higher) level on the forum.

anyone else have this problem with the following combination

VISTA with INTERNET EXPLORER 8

"HTTP Error 403
403.9 Access Forbidden: Too many users are connected

This error can be caused if the Web server is busy and cannot process your request due to heavy traffic. Please try to connect again later.

Please contact the Web server's administrator if the problem persists."

It doesnt do it with google chrome!! so maybe an explorer prob? also only on this website/forum

Can you reproduce this error at will Mikey?

And if so, under what circumstances?

hi there - this error comes up when for example i navigate from forum to topic to post - when i click on any previous level ie if i was looking at this post - as you are now and navigate back by clicking board index or framers forum or technology - the error comes up - it does not come up when i click the go back button on IE8

ps the forum admin man has no other reports of this!! he suggested using chrome or opera as it doesnt occur with them.

A couple of suggestions.

"Delete all board cookies" and then restart IE.

Make theframersforum.com a trusted site. (Google - Make trusted site)

Also, see if you notice any difference between accessing the forum with/without www in the url: -
http://theframersforum.com
http://www.theframersforum.com

(I never use the www.)

hey - fantastic - the option to make a trusted site worked a treat! A good reason to keep logging in here - free computer advice as well.

thanks a million - it was really getting tedious
