Valiani Cmc big problem

Post by atelier »

Hi to everybody, I'm writing from Italy, so please forgive my bad English.
I got this Mat Pro® cmc-ix since half june and it happened to me a dangerous problem four times.
Cutting a mat designed by myself in corel draw, the machine went out of the two blocks axes x and y , risking to breack the head.
I haven't any clear reply from Valiani, to whom I sent all the files to study about.
First I thought it was a problem of the filenI created and imported as .plt, but yesterday it happened the same thing cutting a .fu2 mat includeded in the software of the Cmc.
Is there somebody who got my same problem?
Thanks
Massimiliano Cincinelli

Hi Atelier
First thing we need to know is your CMC Serial Number and what software version you are running.
You will find this by clicking on the '?' on the top bar.

Secondly. Difficult to diagnose problem from your description.

I will send you Private Message with instructions to enable me to help you.

FU2 - Well F... me - what a stunning choice of file type :giggle:

I am guessing this will all be sorted a.s.a.p - I have known The Valiani Clan for nearly 20 years & I know they pride themselves on the highest of service levels

Update on the problem Atelier posted ^^^^^

I have received your files. The .PLT files cuts correctly. The .FU2 file - as you have found - crashes the head into the 'Y' clamp. So the problem is the creation of the .FU2 from .PLT.

You have already been in contact with Valiani and they have already taken action.
As requested, you have sent them your LOG files and from that they have been able to identify when the PLC Controller made the error and why.

This error has been seen a few times and as it was very intermittent, it has been difficult to diagnose.
Valiani were already in discussion with the card vendors to sort out a solution, yet as you know your holiday period during the whole of August has slowed the resolution process down.

Your LOG files and the results of my findings have been sent to the card vendors with a clear marking of 'Most Urgent'

No doubt you will be hearing from Valiani in the very near future.

Re: Valiani Cmc big problem SOLVED

Post by atelier »

Hi Merlin,
first of all thanks for your support.
I talked a lot with Luca Bartalini, and they did a great job and now I can say everything is perfect.
I want to underline that's a great pleasure to use this machine and a great assistance is given by Valiani.
I can say that the problem is probably related to the .plt file and is relly rare.
But they worked a lot to solve it in any case.
In any case I feel to say if you want to buy a CMC, buy Valiani.
They are a small company, but they act like a big one.
Thanks to everybody.

I wouldn't say they are a "small company" - but I would say...

"They have a big heart" - Well done Valiani!!!

I have been visiting Italy for nearly 20 years now - for the "best framing shows in the world" - but I am sure your English is better than my Italian!!!
