Adobe Illustrator

Post by Not your average framer »

I'm thinking about buying Adobe Illustrator and wondered if anyone can give me any idea about what the limitations would be in buying the basic version as opposed to the full package.

Thanks in anticipation,
Mark

Hi John,

Although I will find it useful for normal graphics design projects, I have a particular idea I want to develop which will involve cutting various materials with a vinyl cutter.

Hi Stephen,

Looking on the Adobe website there are two different versions CS5 and CS5.5. There's a significant price difference between the two versions.

There's a huge price difference between Corel draw and Adobe Illustrator. I hear a lot of good things about Adobe Illustrator, is Corel draw as good?

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll get a used copy of Corel Draw on eBay to start with and perhaps get Illustrator when the project starts making money.

Thanks again,
Mark
