Software.....

Post by Comfyjumper »

I have just purchased a 2nd hand Smart 4060 CMC.....I realise the majority of you are Valiani, Wizard or Trucut people, but is software such as Corel Draw compatible for all or is the software supplied devised solely for the machine it came with? Are the various CMC's tied to their own brand of software? Just curious as to whether software can be 'adjusted' to suit different makes of machine. Thanks again.

CorelDraw is a very good generic graphics program used across the whole engraving, signwriting and framing businesses as well as others.

It has the ability to export artwork in many different formats so its just a case of finding what format you need for your CMC.

I use DXF for the valiani so maybe give this a try first

you need the software from the machine

corel is something you can use to generate files for the machine but for actual cutting you need to use the software that comes with the machine
