The World Cup!

Post by topcat »

Ladies and gentlemen of the forum, who's your money on in brazil?

I think it will be a surprise if england get out of their group and i fancy germany to win the tournament.

My money would be on the hosts, Brazil, but I wouldn't mind a bet on England making the final against them - and a much smaller bet on them winning!

If England can't win I don't care who does as long as it's not Spain.

England won't make it out of the groups, especially if they play like they did the other night in Miami.

And all this practising penalties WHY

Practice playing a winning style of football then you won't have to rely on penalties. Learning to pass would be a start instead of dribbling the ball into trouble. My 8 yr olds team have better sense of passing than the England squad.

Brazil to win for me. :giggle: :giggle:

Commentator - "When was the last time anyone put 4 goals past Spain"!

Minutes later it was five!

I said above that if England couldn't win I didn't care who won as long as it wasn't Spain - I'd like to add "or Argentina"

I hate attempts to influence the referee's decision "diving" - if someone rolls about the floor in apparent agony the ref should stop the game, call a stretcher on - insist they are carried away on it (H&S and all that) and carry on without them - or just book them.

There was an off-the-ball incident in this Spain/Holland game where one player 'nutted' another - it absolutely was not a "Stich THAT" head butt - just a gentle push really - but it was wrong. The nutted player sort of went "WTF was that about" paused and fell over for effect. Off - both of them!
