I imagine everyone else found this out ages ago but I've just discovered that if I click on an image that has scroll bars then I can see the whole image. If I click again then the scroll bars come back. At least, that's what happens in Safari.

Great spot out of you, MIke!

I really didn't like the scrollbars (Very reminiscent of web pages with badly implemented "frames").

Maximum for images is now adjusted at 400. This is not practical in use. An image of 640x480 fits perfectly into the forum-frame. Smaller images are not representative to show a nice view. Please John adjust the maximum image-sizes at 640x480......

I have used the Place inline button here, but perhaps different restrictions are applied when the Place inline button is not used. I will investigate.

I just tried posting a 800x600 and it wouldn't have it. :( Max 400 pixels high...apparently. :?

When embedding an image using BBcode, eg [img]www.mysite.com/images/mypicture.jpg[/img], there is a size restriction of 400 x 400 pixels. However, images uploaded via the "Upload image" tab can be up to 800 x 800 pixels in size.

If you use the "Upload image" method and do not want the image to appear at the bottom of your post, then, after you have added the file, use the "Place inline" button which will insert a snippet, like [attachment=0]corners001_small.jpg[/attachment], into the edit box so that you can position the image anywhere you like within the text.
