Many times the email notification of a reply to a topic, takes a long time to reach me. On the old forum it was usually only a few minutes. Now it can be up to seven hours or so.

Without your feedback I would never have known that there was a problem.

I have made a little tweak that should speed up the email notifications, and would be interested to know if this has made any difference.

That one came through much quicker. I have been at a funeral for a while and the notification was here when I got back, so I'm not sure how long it took. I think it was only a few minutes after your post!

There will always be variations in delivery speed due to external factors, but the forum should now be sending out notifications immediately rather than queueing them to be sent in batches.
