Why is it that the last reply on most threads has a “REPLY” button and not a “QUOTE” button? What if you want to quote the last post?

and the edit button apears sometimes only?

You can quote from any post in the thread - click 'post reply' and scroll down the page - all the posts are there in reverse order, so the last post is right there for you. Highlight any text you want and click the 'quote' button for that post

C'est facile, n'est pas?

I sincerely hope iantheframer, that your question is academic and that your purpose is not to force your readers to re-read in your post what has just been written by the previous poster.

The edit button is available for a short time after you click 'Submit', then disappears.
