last couple of days images in posts do not load - even after a good length of time. In users control panel i changed the display image option to NO - now i can read the image name and suffix ie jpg and can click on it and then view it - cannot understand why when i change back to show images they just show the loading signal.
any ideas ?

Re: viewing images
I've recently had an email from another member with the same problem. Unfortunately I can't shed much light as I'm not seeing this issue with either of my ISPs.
I'm guessing that it is a speed issue. Do you have the same problm with all images regardless of size?

Re: viewing images

Re: viewing images
I have noticed that a few pics posted have huge file sizes. One was 1.81mb. A few of those on one page will slow loading down and not everyone has a super hi-speed conection.
Cameras these days produce very big hi-res images, but for web display it's good to resize them. It's not rocket surgery. I can do it.

i assume you have tried:
deleting boards cookies and history?
its not something like your antivirus or firewall blocking images from the domain?
have you tried different browsers?

Re: viewing images
don't think i'll try that - all other forums/sites work ok in ie9 so i will use opera for ff - i'm sure it will eventually return to normal! - i hope - ie is notorious for a few wacky probs!

Re: viewing images
I've had the same problem since I joined the forum a couple of weeks ago. I can only see the images by doing what u said in your first post on this thread. Im on internet explorer if thats it. Am also afraid of changing anything incase it upsets my other settings.
Actually, I quite like plastic moulding.

Re: viewing images
hi sinbad - try another browser i use opera as an alternative and it works -- can be downloaded via google . don't change settings if you have success with other sites.
found a link

Re: viewing images
I've had google chrome on my desktop for a while. Just never got into using it Its just opened up a whole new side of this forum for me! Am loving "the good, the bad and the ugly" section. I likes picture I do Only problem is that it highlights my limited skills..... And I've been making a living at this game for over 10 years

Re: viewing images
Same problem here ie9 etc - clicked the 'compatibility' icon (the broken page thing next to the refresh arrow thing in the address window thing top left) and all was revealed. Not sure if there's a default setting for this somewhere.
Hope it helps.
