Hi

I have a new computer and want to move Estlite and Pre-View onto it,
will it run on windows 8.1 or 10 and if so what is the best way to accomplish this.

Thanks Keith

Both applications work fine on Windows 8.1

We have installed EstLite on Windows 10, and after an initial hiccup it appears to be running well. It has not been exhaustively tested on the new platform, but the basic functions are working ok. The latest build of the program takes advantage of the new built-in "Write To PDF" Win10 feature. Have not yet tried Pre-View on W10.

To migrate EstLite to a new computer with no loss of data see here.

I am using BBEst and have upgraded to Windows 10, but every time it opens I get this message (see attached photo). It doesn't stop it working, it's just a bit annoying! Is there any way around it?

Assuming you are aware of the potential risks...

Windows UAC can be turned of for a single application using Task Scheduler - Step-by-Step Directions Here

Or you can do the same thing by running the application: UAC Trust Shortcut. It can be found here

I wouldn't recommend either solution for the complete Windows novice, though.

What's one level above novice? If I knew much about it I wouldn't have had to ask!! I know enough not to risk anything silly and follow instructions carefully

Believe me Jo, that puts you way ahead of many who fancy themselves as computer gurus. :)
