Pricing complex shadowbox frames

Post by SPFR »

I'm looking at a couple of pricing software packages free trials including Estlite. Using Estlite, does anyone know a reliable way of costing more complex tasks e.g. fixing objects in a frame, making spacers from foam board and mount board, all the extra bits of material involved and the added labour charge?

Also can you add multiple mouldings to the same frame job e.g. stacking mouldings, slips etc

TIA

EstLite incorporates an online help system which can be accessed from most screens. On screens that do not have a Help button pressing the F1 key on the keyboard will do the trick. The help is always relevant to the screen from which it is accessed. Now once on a Help screen, if you move the mouse pointer over a graphic it will often change to a hand pointer, this indicates that further information can be found by pointing and clicking at the area you are interested in.

The Help page displayed on clicking the Help button

If the image is clicked within the red oval you will be taken to a page where you will be informed (among other related stuff) :-
Stacked Frames
Enter the IDs consecutively separated with + (plus sign), innermost frame first
EstLite allows up to 5 mouldings to be stacked in this way.

In Options>Prices we have added items to the Mount Decoration list such as
Spacer for 3D object
Gold Mount Fillet
Cove box
etc

In this way it is usually pretty easy to price for the various additional frame items/embellishments that you regularly provide. Other, more unusual stuff, can be accommodated by entering a value in Other on the main screen
