EstLite vs BBEst

Post by WillFrame »

Hello,

I'm trying to get my head around the major differences between these two packages and am having trouble doing so.

Is there a "features comparison" chart or something like that available?

The software looks great...I'm just trying to decide if the EstLite version would be worth the 4x the cost to me.

I am a solo user so don't need networking capabilities.

Any help/insights greately appreciated...

Hi Willframe, welcome to the forum.

Here are some of the features found in the full program, EstLite, but not in BBEst
  • Store jobs and customer data
    Mailing list
    Job history reports
    Basic moulding stock control
    Networking
    Staff Timekeeping
Multi-user security with encrypted password protection
    Cash register
End of day summary for easy cash-up
    Simple cashbook ledger
Link to receipt printer and cash drawer
    Sales reports
Up to 9 jobs per printed docket
This is off the top of my head, and I may have left one or two out. But probably the most significant difference is the customer and job database that allows you to look up past jobs and customers.

Hope this is of some help.

John,

Many thanks for your reply... you even did't embarrass me by referring me to the "Features" pulldown on your EstLite site containing all the info I was looking for!

The job and customer databases are great features and the ones I could use. I'm only four months into my homebased business and am fighting under-capitalization. Only wish I had been aware of your fine product sooner so I could have benefited before the price increase. Albeit, still a great value. Just a matter of priorities at the moment.

Anyway, thanks again for your graciousness!
