adding detailed notes

is there a way of adding a detailed set of notes, even attaching a file to an order

what i was hoping to do was scan or type notes that i have written for an order

i belive most people print the work order then add the nots to that, it just seems like lots of paper

and not real for of backup

if that makes sense

I have looked through the manual and cant seem to find what i am looking for

what would be very cool is to use a touchscreen to scribble notes as part of the order!!!!

Nice Idea.

We usually just scribble any additional notes that may be requied on the workshop copy of the printed docket. But I can see how the option for a notepad type attachment to each job would look more professional.

Watch for this feature in future versions. :)

yea it more than just sense

almost all the pos systems around seem to end us having to use more paper :-))

which kinda defeats the purpose of using the computer

The latest release, 8.21, might have the feature that you're looking for.

Have a peek in the help file.

The new note feature pretty much echoes the previously existing Customer Scratch-pad, and access to it is available from any screen where you would need to view or enter additional notes about a job.

Look for the new notepad type buttons. Not a lot of explanation necessary really, see below:
