Help needed in Dorset

Post by ShaggyDog »

Hello all, I'm in need of some serious help here! I am picking up from Bridport on Monday (if they are printed) a couple of large printed pictures which I need to be mounted on board. The dimensions of the board will be around 665 x 775 mm and I think they need to be vacuum pressed. Does anyone around the Bridport area have a vacuum press big enough for something this size (my hot press is way too small, old and in the habit of leaving ruddy great air bubbles in anything larger than A4). I'm based just north of Dorchester and I need to have both items mounted and framed (I'll do the rest of it!) by Tuesday evening.

If anyone can help, please either let me know on here, or PM me.

Cheers

Have you asked the printer if they mount down work, there are a lot of printers doing this type of work at the moment, even on the forum.

Thanks Steve, I'll give that a go - I didn't realise printers were doing that!

If it is an inkjet print I don't think you would want a vacuum press, inkjets don't like heat, you need a cold roller

Hi Shaggydog,

I'm in north Dorset with a roller laminator if that could be of any use. It's a jm34 so will easily do your prints.
Let me know if we can help at all.

Simon.
