Excalibur 5000 - damaged?

Post by TinaB »

Hello all,

Can anyone please help me as a matter of urgency? I am looking at an Excalibur 5000. There is a massive dent in the box where one of the black wheels/knobs has gone into it (see photo). The wheel/knob is at an angle. Does anyone know whether this is how it should look, or whether it is damaged?

Any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated! :D

Many thanks,

Tina

I don't have an excalibur 5000, but I imagine you would be able to see that the threaded rod is bent or the surrounding metal is bent?
If it turns and does its job then you're probably alright.
Hopefully someone else can shed more light on it.

Bit hard to tell from the photo, but the only knob I can see like that is the squaring adjuster at the top. When the machine is assembled it does appear at an angle to the side rail, but should be parallel to the ground. If it has had a wack and got bent, this should be obvious if you try to turn it.

If it's just the threaded rod, get onto KeenCut, they are very good at after sales, so I would imagine they would send one quick
