Econospace and other spacers
I was thinking of using Econospace spacers for a float-mounted job but I've seen recommendations of a maximum width of either 24" or 30". The picture in question would be no less than 30" wide so I guess that rules out Econospace. Can anyone recommend any other off-the-shelf spacers?

Re: Econospace and other spacers
I remember using some Econospacers once. The self-adhesive dried out after a few weeks and the spacer sagged into the frame.
I would use either the paper wrapped or plain spacers from say, R&H and glue in with PVA.

I use the plain wood spacers from R&H and paint them to match the mount board and then glue in place. On smaller frames I mitre and pin the spacers and just drop them in without glue. Wessex also do plain wood, finished and paper wrapped spacers.

Re: Econospace and other spacers
I stopped using Econospace years ago. I don't consider it as being particularly worthwhile. You end up with lots of small pieces, which never get used for anything, before the self adhesive reaches the end of it's useful life and I don't think that it's good value for money either!
I much prefer slips and spacers, as they look much more classy!
