Floater frames

Post by kartoffelngeist »

I generally try to avoid them but I guess I can't keep avoiding them forever!

There was a heap of plain obeche L shaped moulding in the workshop when I started and I've always just painted that as required.

The customer now has 2 canvasses which are about 1.5" deep and he want's a wide chunky black frame. I did suggest using the L shaped moulding and stacking whatever moulding he wanted on the front, but he really wants it the same all round.

Any tricks or tips?
Thanks,

andrew

I'm not quite sure what you are asking. have a look at Lions range if plain wood Ls, they have a 30mm wide one which is 38mm deep, also available in black in the Revival range. Also available in chop.
