Like Arthur, I took hold of the handle of my Excalibur and pulled it off.
Broken shaft - that attaches the handle to the Clamp Housing Assembly. Clamp Housing Assembly is only available as a single unit, it's not possible to replace just the shaft, needless to say.
Anybody have a spare bit kicking around before I fork out (unknown amount)?
Excalibur failure - anybody have bits 'for parts'?

Thanks. No idea, and I'm the second owner anyway.

I had the same thing not long ago. It was a woman's first shift using it and the handle came off in her hand! She was mortified.
Had to get the whole bit from Keencut. Hundred odd pounds

Not surprised. I was going to guess at £120 plus VAT... thought about starting a sweepstake on here.

It's got to be a standard thread size. You should not have much trouble sourcing a suitable length of threaded studing and a spacer to provide the right spacing between the handle and the clamp handle housing.
May I recommend buying some stainless steel studing as it should be stronger the standard mild steel studing. If necessary you can buy a single threaded nut from a suitable hardware store and try the nut on the original thread before committing you cash to buying the studing.
BTW, there are standard sizes of threaded spacers available of the shelf from various suppliers, hopefully without a crazy minimum order value.

It isn't the threaded bar unfortunately. It is the shaft that runs laterally - long red line, break at short red line. I am sure that in five years' time it will be possible to print one.
