Are you sure about that, as production stops speed up the process by their very nature

By the time you have marked the back of the mount for the window, by using a pencil, drawing down the mat guide, turning the mount so each side so it's marked, then cutting each side, you have put the mount in a total of eight times compared to four if you use the productions stops :sweating:

Ah that's true. I'd forgotten about all the drawing :)

RE old wood, I'll definitely have a crack at it, but I suppose I'd better get a bit more proficient at framing regular mouldings first, not to mention all these hand-finishing tips and tricks that I don't know about. It's on the to-do list, though!
