Long term effects of Plexiglas

Post by Rainbow »

Quick question - If Plexiglas is used directly against a poster, will it cause any damage to the poster in the long run? Is it any different if Plexiglas is used against a photograph, watercolour or acrylic painting?

Thanks.

It's not the material so much as it's capacity for creating condensation. Plastic is less likely to form condensation than
glass. Having framed paper-borne items in a place where the temperature and humidity fluctuate wildly is never a good idea
but in these circumstances plastic glazing will fare better.
It's not good to have photos or art done using acrylic paints against any form of glazing. Don't ask.... :|
