Training in Scotland

Post by iorek »

Hi folks

I have finally pulled the trigger and purchased equipment from a retiring framer and I am looking forward to getting started. Thanks very much to everyone on the forum, when i first started researching a few months ago this place was invaluable.

Could anyone recommend a training course (preferably in Scotland)?

Thank you

A friend of mine who was a well known trainer for many years once said >>>>>

"Get a trainer to come to you to train you on the equipment you have.
Then you will be well accustomed to using your own kit.
If you go on a course and all the equipment is different from what you have, it might seem a bit daunting when you get home."

It might cost a bit more, but it will be a wise investment :cash:

Very good point Keith, plus any trainer (if any good) will know how to set up and calibrate most equipment, and may suggest a good layout for your workshop

I've not personally done ant training with Richard Atkins but I know a few people who have and spoke very highly of it.
Thanks,

I trained with Richard this summer and I am about to go and do some more with him. Highly recommend him, great at helping you no matter what level and very patient as well. Not sure if his website is up, but number is 01506 491 497.
