Morso spanner and.....

Good afternoon, playmates.

Picked up the Morso F yesterday - looks a beaut (touchwood).

As you do, I put the pedal right down/did the bolt up.....to keep the blades out of the way in transport.

It's not going to be used for a while (up to a month), so is it OK to leave it like this? Or should I return the pedal to its normal position, to save stressing the springs etc?

BTW, there's no spanner for the blade bolts. I know the factory-supplied spanner is a T-shaped thing, but I've also seen an L-shaped one that maybe has more leverage. Which one should I get? Or is there something else you'd recommend?

Ta :)

Probably won't make a huge difference either way, but I would release the pedal clamp and let the springs relax

Thanks, John.

Any thoughts on the spanner? Is it OK to use a normal box spanner (can't think of correct name) for blade removal etc? (As a new Morso. spanner can be £25 PLUS vat  )

If you do use socket wrench to tighten the blade bolts, don't give it too much wellie. If you shear the bolts it's going to be
a pain to remove the bit left struck in and new ones cost more than you might think. :?

Here's a link to underpinner spares who carry morso spares including spanners.
I always keep my blades locked down when not in use. Ever since a customer's 6 year old ran up to the morso with his hands out asking what it did...
My design and workshop space is one space, so its a health and safety issue.
