Cord knot
I’m hoping that someone might be able to identify the knot used here, other than the fact that it’s a bit frayed, I like the look and would like to do something similar when I’m not using wire.
Thanks for your help.
Glen.

Re: Cord knot
Hi Glen,
Not the way I would do it, but it works.
I think the knot is a snake knot.
Kind regards

Re: Cord knot
I do one and a half turns around the d-ring followed by six half hitches. It's not completely the same as your photo, but it's not to much dissimilar and looks very professional.

Re: Cord knot
Cheers,
The snake knot looks like it’ll take an age to tie and be difficult to get the tension right.
I usually go over the top, I’m paranoid about it coming undone!
I’ve been using a clove hitch and a couple of half hitched up to now, but I always think it could look better, maybe more half hitches is the answer!

Re: Cord knot
I do a similar knot but tape the "tails" a little neater. Does the finishing tape look a tad thin or is it just me?
Glen, welcome to the FF btw

Cheers Peter.
I think the tape is too small on the cord as well, but to he honest the tape on the back of the frame isn’t done to the standard I like to produce.

Re: Cord knot
Course I do mine completely different , I thread my cord through both D-Rings and tie the cord together in a reef knot with a couple of half hitches
