Need a bit of advice, i have some waistcoats that need framing and my tag gun is not man enough to hold garments in place. Would appreciate advice on a way to hold in place, or is there a gun that is available that is a bit stronger .
By the way i am not to good with needle and thread.
Thanks
Jon

There are two sizes of tag guns, micro (fine) and standard. I am suspecting that you might be using the micro, or fine size. Perhaps is time to get the bigger size too!
This is where I get my tags and tag guns from, they've got a great selection of guns and tag sizes and the prices are not bad either.

Check out the various lengths of tags available. Some of the longer ones can be really useful to have on hand when framing difficult objects. You might be quite surprised at some of the ways that I have used some lengths of tags to solve difficult problems.

Re: Fixing heavy fabric
I use a combination of tag gun and stitches when framing fabric.
Stitching is not difficult and a thimble is a great help. Although you can obtain coloured tags online there is a much wider colour choice using thread/cotton making it easy to hide the stitches.
Good luck with your project.
Peter.
