Hello everyone
I have this little pencil drawing that someone gave me. The problem is it’s been cut out from a sketch pad and the cropped edge too close to the image to go in a mount.
Any framer’s tricks on how to get around this other than just sticking it down to another bit of paper? It doesn’t have to be an invisible fix as it’s just for myself.
Regards
Matt

I think you're going to struggle to get a mount round this without it looking cramped. I would consider making a feature of it by either float mounting or shadow float mounting it on a matching or contrasting colour of mountboard and then putting it into the frame with spacers to keep the glass away from the image. Roy Rowland's method has been frequently discussed on here and works well.
Good luck

Re: Help with a cropped image.
just use a mount that is the same or as near the same colour as the paper, as long as the edges of the paper are straight and square, I can't see a problem
